About the position

The Night Auditor is responsible for performing close of day procedures for the hotel while also fulfilling guest service duties. This role involves managing financial reports, balancing revenue, and ensuring a superior experience for guests through warm hospitality and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily night audit tasks including check-ins, check-outs, postings, corrections, and printing reports.
  • Prepare and examine daily financial reports for the hotel.
  • Balance room, restaurant revenue, accounts, and pay-outs.
  • Research and resolve out-of-balance situations.
  • Print, collate, and file reports.
  • Greet, register, and assign room keys to guests.
  • Maintain accurate Front Desk cash drawers and post charges.
  • Compute bills, collect payments, and make change for guests.
  • Deposit guests' valuables in safe deposit boxes upon request.
  • Answer telephone calls promptly and politely, providing information and recording messages.
  • Assist guests with inquiries about hotel services, shopping, dining, and transportation.
  • Complete Daily Shift Checklist and keep records of room availability and guest accounts.
  • Record and deliver all wake-up calls.
  • Assist in the delivery of luggage and other items to guests.
  • Operate paging system for in-house announcements.
  • Sell items from the Suite Shop, including alcohol.
  • Perform general cleaning and upkeep of the hotel, including laundry and breakfast setup.
  • Provide a superior experience to all guests by exceeding expectations.
  • Listen and react to Team Member needs, recognizing and rewarding achievements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • General computer skills with experience using Word, Excel, Outlook Email, Internet Software, Kronos, and Hilton OnQ.
  • CPR Certification preferred but will train; Hilton Brand Training required upon hire; RAMP Certified as per Hilton's Standards.
