About the position

The Night Auditor at The Pad Hostel is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the hostel during the overnight shift, providing exceptional hospitality to guests and team members. This role involves managing guest check-ins, handling inquiries and complaints, processing payments, and performing nightly audits of transactions. The Night Auditor plays a crucial role in maintaining the safety and security of the hostel while collaborating with team members to enhance the guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Providing guests and team members with professional, efficient, courteous, and genuine hospitality
• Greeting and checking in guests with a warm and friendly attitude
• Assisting guests with reservations, inquiries, and any special requests
• Handling guest complaints and resolving issues promptly and professionally
• Managing phone calls, emails, and other forms of communication
• Processing payments and maintaining accurate records
• Performing nightly audits of all transactions and preparing daily financial reports
• Ensuring the safety and security of the hostel during the night
• Collaborating with other team members to ensure a seamless guest experience
• Maintaining the pantry/market and ensuring it is organized and well-stocked

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in hospitality or customer service is preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Ability to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Proficiency in using computer systems and reservation software
• A positive attitude and a passion for helping others
