About the position

The Night Auditor at Arizona Charlie's Boulder is responsible for managing the front desk operations during the night shift, ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process for hotel guests. This role involves overseeing financial transactions, resolving guest complaints, and maintaining accurate records while providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Check-in and check-out hotel guests, ensuring rooms are prepared and ready for assignment.
• Monitor and oversee daily assignments provided by front desk clerks and complete the nightly audit.
• Verify and balance entries and records of financial transactions reported by the front desk.
• Reconcile guest payments, run audit reports, calculate revenues, and correct errors.
• Resolve hanging balances on guest accounts and document discrepancies to management.
• Maintain knowledge of departmental policies, services, and procedures.
• Anticipate guests' needs and respond promptly to ensure satisfaction.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned work areas.
• Document all guest requests, complaints, or problems accurately.
• Assist other departments in obtaining information regarding groups and guest information.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a front desk, reception, or customer service position.
• Three to six months of experience in a night audit position preferred.
• Experience with LMS preferred.
• Ability to handle upset guests compassionately and resolve concerns.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret guest room bills.
• Proficient in basic math operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Comfortable promoting hotel room products and explaining room types to guests.
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately with cash and computer systems.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with hotel management software (LMS).
• Previous experience in a hospitality environment.
