The Night Auditor is a crucial role within the hotel, responsible for the preparation and disposition of all Night Audit work. This position entails managing the front desk operations during the overnight shift, typically from 11 PM to 7 AM. The Night Auditor's primary responsibilities include registering guests, making reservations, preparing daily reports, balancing transactions, and conducting security walks throughout the property. This role requires a keen attention to detail and the ability to work independently while ensuring that all hotel operations run smoothly during the night hours. In addition to the core responsibilities, the Night Auditor must maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, comply with hotel standards and regulations, and approach all encounters with guests and associates in a friendly, service-oriented manner. The position also involves initiating and completing the End of Day process, running necessary reports for Food and Beverage audits, and maintaining cashiering responsibilities according to established procedures. The Night Auditor is expected to handle guest requests, maintain proper record-keeping, and ensure that all areas of the hotel are secure and well-maintained during the night shift. The role also includes training new Night Auditors as needed, preparing and distributing the Daily Flash Report, and completing any miscellaneous duties as required by management. The Night Auditor must be familiar with hotel policies and house rules, and be able to effectively communicate and resolve any issues that may arise during the night shift. This position is vital for ensuring guest satisfaction and maintaining the overall safety and security of the hotel during overnight hours.
