About the position
The Night Auditor at MainStay Suites Orange County John Wayne Airport Santa Ana is responsible for leading the Front Office Team during the graveyard shift. This role involves managing daily hotel operations to ensure guest satisfaction and maximize profitability, while also overseeing various functions such as front office services, food and beverage operations, and housekeeping.
Responsibilities
- Manage front office functions to ensure superior guest services and security of transactions.
- Oversee food and beverage operations to maintain quality and guest satisfaction.
- Assist housekeeping and maintenance staff during shifts in the absence of department heads.
- Ensure the Bridgemart/Pantry is stocked and organized, monitoring inventory and ordering supplies as needed.
- Adhere to service recovery guidelines to ensure complete guest satisfaction and respond to complaints professionally.
- Comply with health, safety, and alcohol service laws.
- Foster positive relationships with owners and provide operational updates.
- Promote teamwork and quality service through communication with other shifts and departments.
- Interact with guests, owners, regulatory agencies, and other contacts as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in Front Desk operations or equivalent experience.
- Fluent in English; other languages preferred.
- Strong communication skills for interaction with guests and staff.
- Ability to read and write for paperwork and reports.
- Mathematical skills for basic calculations and reporting.
- Problem-solving and organizational skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in the hotel industry preferred.
- Ability to travel for workshops and conferences.
