About The Position

The Night Auditor at Aimbridge Hospitality is responsible for managing the front desk operations during the overnight shift, typically from 11 PM to 7 AM. This role involves preparing and processing all Night Audit work, registering guests, making reservations, preparing daily reports, balancing transactions, and conducting security walks. The Night Auditor plays a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and secure hotel operation during the night hours.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field required.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Knowledge of Accounting Principles.
  • Proficient in Windows operating systems and company-approved spreadsheets and word processing.
  • Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot guest issues and emergency situations.
  • Effective communication skills to convey information clearly.
  • Ability to work independently and in a self-managed environment.
  • Ability to handle stressful high-pressure situations.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous supervisory responsibility preferred.
  • College coursework in a related field helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Register guests and manage reservations during the overnight shift.
  • Prepare and distribute the Daily Flash Report as needed.
  • Complete the Night Audit checklist for computer procedures daily.
  • Balance the day's work including revenue from various services.
  • Maintain cashiering responsibilities according to Front Office procedures.
  • Fulfill all Front Office functions between 11 PM and 7 AM.
  • Handle and follow through on all guest requests during the night shift.
  • Conduct security walks and ensure all areas are locked and secured.
  • Train new Night Auditors as requested by management.
  • Run morning reports according to Aimbridge Hospitality procedures.
  • Maintain proper record keeping according to Aimbridge Hospitality standards.
