About the position

The Night Auditor at Highgate Hotels plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions and guest billings while providing excellent customer service. This position involves reconciling hotel cashier transactions, preparing management reports, and performing guest service duties such as check-in and check-out. The Night Auditor must effectively communicate with management and maintain high standards of guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile all hotel cashier transactions and ensure accuracy of guest billings.
• Review, organize, and compile management reports on a timely basis.
• Perform guest service functions including check-in, check-out, and reservations.
• Audit and reconcile financial and statistical reports.
• Prepare and distribute daily and month-end reports according to hotel standards.
• Audit, reconcile, consolidate, and transmit all credit card transactions on time.
• Input and update financial information into corporate communications network.
• Keep management informed of any unusual operational or financial events.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction and respond to inquiries as needed.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Guest service experience preferred.
• Computer knowledge and skills required.
• Ability to work flexible and long hours as needed.
