About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dispatcher to join our towing team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in coordinating the dispatching of tow truck drivers to the scene, requiring strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work overnight without missing calls.

Responsibilities

• Manage incoming and outgoing communications via phone systems to facilitate efficient dispatching operations.
• Perform data entry tasks to maintain accurate records of dispatchers.
• Exhibit excellent phone etiquette while communicating with drivers, clients, and vendors to provide updates and resolve issues.
• Analyze logistics data to identify trends and improve operational efficiency within the dispatching process.

Requirements

• Proven experience in dispatching or a related field is preferred.
• Strong understanding of logistics principles and practices, including working with local law enforcement.
• Proficiency in using phone systems effectively for communication purposes.
• Excellent data entry skills with a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in record-keeping.
• Ability to analyze information critically and make informed decisions based on data insights.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with planning processes and tools is a plus (towbooks).
• Towbooks software experience is a plus.
