About the position
The Night Dry Ice Sanitation Technician at RAUCH Fruchtsäfte GmbH & Co OG is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the production areas of the facility. This role involves operating industrial cleaning equipment, managing dry ice supplies, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. The technician will work closely with production management to develop cleaning schedules and perform routine maintenance on cleaning equipment.
Responsibilities
- Cleans floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming; operates industrial floor scrubbers.
- Cleans production equipment using dry ice cleaning equipment; greases, lubricates, and oils equipment after cleaning tasks.
- Orders and stores dry ice accurately.
- Cleans machine parts with ultrasonic equipment during major production line overhauls.
- Works closely with production management to develop cleaning schedules for production equipment in alignment with the Facility Manager.
- Maintains cleanliness and safety of production areas and disposes of trash according to environmental regulations.
- Sanitizes and disinfects surfaces and equipment; follows procedures for chemical cleaners and power equipment usage.
- Notifies manager of major repairs or additions needed for building operating systems.
- Requisitions supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
- Drives vehicles required for cleaning work, including industrial vacuum cleaners and lifts.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Two years of related job experience.
- Experience with SAP and Microsoft Excel preferred.
- Knowledge of equipment maintenance and ability to perform routine maintenance on equipment.
- Understanding of occupational hazard safety rules.
- Ability to communicate effectively and coordinate with employees and Shift Lead.
- Ability to work alone or in a team setting and follow written and verbal instructions.
Nice-to-haves
- Ability to communicate in multiple languages.
- Experience with operating dry ice machines, floor scrubbers, and ultrasonic cleaning equipment.
