About the position

The House Supervisor at Lakeview Specialty Hospital & Rehab is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the facility during the night shift hours of 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. This role involves overseeing the building's safety protocols, responding to safety needs, and assisting staff with patient care as necessary. The position does not require a medical background but emphasizes strong communication and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides safety for patients, residents, and staff.
• Coordinates with internal and/or external agencies to ensure appropriate service provisions.
• Receives and directs calls coming into the facility to the appropriate personnel.
• Ensures facility operations maintain maximum respect for patients/residents and safety for staff and visitors.
• Demonstrates superior customer service and patient/resident advocacy.
• Communicates significant information within and outside the facility.
• Participates in performance improvement activities as required.
• Records refrigerator temperatures throughout the facility.
• Assists Charge Nurse with scheduling during shift call-ins.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum high school diploma.
• Experience working within a facility unsupervised.
• Broad understanding of hospital programs.
• Sound judgment and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to obtain CPR training.
• Organizational skills.
• Ability to work with Microsoft products.
