About the position

The Night Operations Department Supervisor at Lowe's is responsible for leading a team of associates to ensure a high-quality customer experience during the overnight shift. This role involves coaching and training staff, managing performance, and overseeing non-selling operations in both the front and back ends of the store. The supervisor plays a crucial role in maintaining store safety, efficiency, and stock levels, while also collaborating with other supervisors and management to meet operational objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and enable a team of associates to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Coach and train associates on safe behaviors and lifting techniques.
  • Monitor the use of store power equipment and ensure safety compliance.
  • Plan, schedule, and implement all non-selling operations in the store.
  • Collaborate with other Department Supervisors and Assistant Store Managers to meet service and safety objectives.
  • Conduct safety walks and report hazards to maintain a safe store environment.
  • Occasionally open or close the store or serve as manager-on-duty.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years of experience in a retail environment OR 5 years of experience in a retail environment.
  • Experience providing direction or supervision to teams.
  • Experience in training, mentoring, and developing associates.
  • Experience working cross-functionally.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to obtain sales-related licensure as required by law.

  • Experience supporting front-end or back-end operations in a retail environment.
