About the position
The Night Operations Department Supervisor at Lowe's is responsible for leading a team of associates to ensure a high-quality customer experience during the overnight shift. This role involves coaching and training staff, managing performance, and overseeing non-selling operations in both the front and back ends of the store. The supervisor plays a crucial role in maintaining store safety, efficiency, and stock levels, while also collaborating with other supervisors and management to meet operational objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead and enable a team of associates to deliver excellent customer service.
- Coach and train associates on safe behaviors and lifting techniques.
- Monitor the use of store power equipment and ensure safety compliance.
- Plan, schedule, and implement all non-selling operations in the store.
- Collaborate with other Department Supervisors and Assistant Store Managers to meet service and safety objectives.
- Conduct safety walks and report hazards to maintain a safe store environment.
- Occasionally open or close the store or serve as manager-on-duty.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years of experience in a retail environment OR 5 years of experience in a retail environment.
- Experience providing direction or supervision to teams.
- Experience in training, mentoring, and developing associates.
- Experience working cross-functionally.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to obtain sales-related licensure as required by law.
