About the position

The Night Ops Assistant Store Manager position is designed for individuals in training to learn the various responsibilities associated with managing a store, particularly during night operations. The role focuses on supporting the Store Manager in driving sales and profitability through effective leadership and communication with associates. Trainees will gain hands-on experience in customer service, operations management, and business analysis, preparing them for future leadership roles within the store.

Responsibilities

• Supervise associates in customer service initiatives, ensuring the store's in-stock position and organized appearance.
• Learn staffing and scheduling, identify and resolve stock deficiencies, and support service needs for sales and special orders.
• Interview, hire, motivate, coach, train, and develop store associates, including performance management and disciplinary processes.
• Oversee front-end processes involving sales and return transactions, as well as back-end processes including receiving and freight teams.
• Maintain and operate store equipment and systems, managing daily financial operations and ensuring safety compliance.
• Analyze sales trends to drive department profitability and support inventory management processes.

Requirements

• Must be eighteen years of age or older.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Legally permitted to work in the United States.
