About the position

The Night Shift Front-End Loader Operator position in Tampa, FL, involves operating plant machinery while adhering to safety policies and procedures to ensure the production of high-quality products. The operator will be responsible for reading job specifications to determine necessary machine adjustments and material requirements. This role requires setting stops or guides to specific lengths as indicated by scales, rules, or templates, and observing machine operations to detect any product defects or malfunctions. Additionally, the operator will review products for inconsistencies or abnormal appearances to ensure they meet quality requirements. Routine machine maintenance is also a key responsibility, along with assisting other operators in setting up machines and completing necessary tasks to meet deadlines. The position demands a high level of accuracy in all work assignments and requires the operator to maintain a clean and orderly work area. Other duties may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed. The physical requirements of the job include standing for extended periods and the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. The operator must also be able to work a flexible schedule, which may include night shifts. This is a full-time position with a potential retention bonus of up to $1,000, and the complete work schedule will be discussed with the applicant during the hiring process.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • One (1) year of experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Problem-solving skills involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite, including Word and Excel.
  • High level of accuracy in work assignments.
