About the position

This position requires a strong commitment to customer service, as you will be the face of US Foods, building relationships with our clients and ensuring their satisfaction with our services. You will also be expected to perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of your vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition. The role involves working a schedule that starts at 8 PM, Sunday through Friday, which may require you to work overnight. Our drivers enjoy competitive pay at $32.04 per hour, with daily overtime after 8 hours and an hourly shift differential of $1.25. Responsibilities

  • Safely drive trucks to and from remote dispatch sites
  • Perform duties of Backhaul or Delivery Driver as needed
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections
  • Maintain compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
  • Build trusting relationships with customers during deliveries

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
  • 6 months of commercial driving experience required
  • Doubles endorsement required with a minimum of 6 months driving with doubles endorsements preferred
  • Comfortable working overnight
  • Ability to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locations
  • Must be able to read and communicate in the English language

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with food distribution or similar industry
  • Knowledge of local delivery routes
