About The Position

The position involves selecting and preparing food and non-food products for customer orders in a warehouse environment. The role requires adherence to safety regulations and quality standards while ensuring efficient product flow. The employee will work as part of a team to fulfill orders and maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements

• Must be able to work the scheduled/assigned times and required overtime for the position.
• Able to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout the shift.
• Able to lift, stack, and/or pull products off shelves, weighing between 10-35 pounds and generally up to 60-90 pounds depending on the location.
• Able to work in multi-temperature environments, including cooler, freezer, and dry.
• Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.

Nice To Haves

• High School Diploma/GED or State Approved Equivalent.
• 6-12 months warehouse and/or distribution work experience.
• Foodservice distribution or related industry experience.
• Experience using a motorized pallet jack.
• Motorized pallet jack certified.

Responsibilities

• Select cases and containers of food and non-food products to fill customer orders from multi-level rack warehouse storage systems.
• Place items on pallets and move completed orders to the loading dock staging area using an electric pallet jack/forklift.
• Wrap, label, and prepare completed orders for shipment in a timely manner while observing safety regulations.
• Follow all preferred work methods, safety policies, and procedures per company guidelines.
• Ensure work area is safe and report any unsafe conditions immediately.
• Review work schedule and obtain necessary supplies for operations.
• Perform safety checks on pallet jack/forklift and ensure all safety devices are functioning properly.
• Wear required Personal Protective Equipment and Safety Gear.
• Meet required productivity and accuracy standards per location and company guidelines.
• Transport completed palletized customer orders to the shipping dock staging area.
• Shrink-wrap pallets for staging as required.
• Complete necessary paperwork at the end of the shift.
