About the position
The Nightshift Cell Operator is responsible for operating one or more machine tools, special-purpose machines, or industrial robots to machine metal work pieces according to specified production standards. This role involves reading blueprints and job orders to ensure accurate machining and adherence to specifications.
Responsibilities
- Tend to one or more machine tools, special-purpose machines, or industrial robots to machine metal work pieces to specifications on a production basis.
- Read blueprints or job orders for product specifications, including dimensions and tolerances, and tooling instructions.
- Select, position, and secure tools in tool holders such as chucks, collets, or tool posts.
- Identify and separate all nonconforming parts, including those with nonconforming dimensions.
Requirements
- Experience operating machine tools or industrial robots.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and job orders.
- Knowledge of machining specifications, including dimensions, tolerances, and tooling instructions.
