About the position

As part of the NIH Improving Access to Research and Training (IMPACT) program, summer scholars will work under the direct supervision of their assigned research supervisors to develop and complete a research project. Projects may include conducting literature reviews, participating in study design, data collection, and data analysis, and/or other research experiences. Some data collection may involve working with human subjects over the age of 18. All students will complete CITI training and other certifications required by their research supervisors before their summer research experiences start. Responsibilities

  • Develop and complete a research project under supervision.
  • Conduct literature reviews.
  • Participate in study design.
  • Collect data and perform data analysis.
  • Work with human subjects over the age of 18 as required.

Requirements

  • Current Penn State employee or student, or external applicant.
  • Completion of CITI training and other required certifications before starting research.
