About the position
The NOC Caregiver/Med Tech position at Villa Redondo involves providing compassionate care and medication administration to elderly residents in an assisted living facility. The role requires working night shifts and includes responsibilities such as monitoring medication, assisting with daily needs, and ensuring a safe and supportive environment for residents. No prior experience is necessary as training will be provided, and a sign-on bonus is offered.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the basic needs of residents in a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE).
- Provide ethical and respectful care to residents.
- Administer medication to residents according to Title 22 regulations of the California Administrative Code.
- Order and reorder medication for residents following physician instructions.
- Monitor residents' medication administration records and report errors to the Lead Medication Technician or Administrator.
- Document and communicate with physicians and medical professionals regarding residents' care.
- Schedule residents' doctor's appointments.
- Work with medical professionals to reduce residents' pain while promoting engagement and independence.
- Maintain composure during emergencies and ensure a safe work environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Able to pass DOJ FBI live scan criminal background clearance mandated by licensing.
- Able to pass pre-employment physical and TB test clearance.
- Experience in caregiving and medical administration preferred.
