About the position

The NOC Shift Med Tech at Orchard Ridge Assisted Living is responsible for providing essential care and support to residents during the night shift. This role involves assisting with medication, personal hygiene, and daily living activities, while ensuring the safety and well-being of residents. The Med Tech will work collaboratively with the care team to meet the needs of seniors in a compassionate and professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with medication administration
• Provide personal care including showering, nail care, and grooming
• Support residents with morning and bedtime routines
• Assist with oral care and toileting programs
• Help residents with meals and safe transfers using appropriate equipment
• Accurately obtain and record vital signs, reporting any unusual findings
• Respond to emotional and behavioral changes in residents
• Handle emergencies and respond to the resident emergency call system
• Encourage socialization and participation in community activities
• Report concerns to the charge nurse and document in the electronic MAR
• Maintain physical stamina to perform duties, including lifting up to 50 pounds

Requirements

• MedTech Certificate (required)
• CPR and First Aid certification (preferred)
• Basic understanding of electronic documentation or willingness to learn
• Familiarity with clinical equipment such as Hoyer Lift and Sit to Stand (experience preferred but not required)

Nice-to-haves

• CNA certification (not required but a plus)
