About the position
The NodeJS Developer position involves migrating an on-premises application to the cloud, specifically transitioning from IIB to NodeJS and changing the underlying database from DB2 to PostGres. The role requires collaboration with an onshore and offshore team, following a scaled agile methodology, to complete the migration within a six-month timeline.
Responsibilities
- Migrate the existing IIB application to NodeJS and PostGres in the cloud.
- Collaborate with onshore and offshore teams to ensure project timelines are met.
- Implement Agile methodologies, including Continuous Integration (CI/CD) and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
- Develop and maintain GraphQL APIs.
- Monitor and ensure the observability of services during and after migration.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- 3+ years of NodeJS development experience with TypeScript.
- 2+ years of cloud experience, preferably with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- 1+ year of experience in an Agile-based development environment using Agile concepts such as CI/CD and TDD.
- Strong experience with monitoring and observability and building scalable services.
- Understanding of various database solutions (SQL, NoSQL).
- Experience developing GraphQL APIs.
