About the position
The NodeJS Developer position is a one-year contract role focused on developing web and mobile member login pages for a healthcare client. The role requires on-site work three days a week in Hartford, CT, and involves working with technologies such as NodeJS, TypeScript, and AWS, as well as Agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines. The team is set to kick off a new project in January 2025.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain web and mobile member login pages.
- Collaborate with team members to design and implement scalable services.
- Utilize Agile methodologies to ensure timely delivery of projects.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
- Monitor and improve application performance and observability.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- 3+ years of NodeJS development with TypeScript.
- 2+ years of Cloud Experience, preferably with AWS.
- 1+ year of experience in an Agile-based development environment using CI/CD and TDD.
- Strong experience with monitoring and observability and building scalable services.
- Understanding of various database solutions (SQL, NoSQL).
- Experience developing GraphQL APIs.
- Professional experience with PostGres SQL on AWS.
- Professional experience with DynamoDB and AWS Simple Queuing Services.
Nice-to-haves
- Exposure to product/services development in cloud-based platforms (i.e. Azure, GCP, AWS).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Adept at growth mindset and execution skills.
