About the position
The Node.js Lead Developer will be responsible for leading an application development team focused on creating and maintaining applications in an AWS environment. This role requires expertise in Node.js, microservices, and serverless architecture, along with strong leadership skills to guide a team of developers. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of both frontend and backend technologies, particularly in JavaScript and TypeScript, and will be expected to design and implement REST APIs while ensuring optimal system performance.
Responsibilities
- Lead an application development team of 6-8 members in an AWS environment.
- Design and write code supporting serverless frameworks using Node.js.
- Develop, integrate, and test REST APIs.
- Create and maintain Swagger documentation for APIs.
- Write complex queries in relational databases such as PostgreSQL and SQL Server.
- Design optimal data models based on application needs and system performance.
- Utilize AWS developer tools and services including EC2, S3, and RDS.
- Implement DevOps methodologies and CI/CD tools like Jenkins.
- Transform complex business requirements into technical design specifications.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution, or three years of progressive experience in lieu of education.
- At least 4 years of experience in Information Technology.
- Minimum 2 years of experience leading application development teams.
- Strong proficiency in Node.js and its APIs.
- 3 years of experience in JavaScript and TypeScript.
- 3 years of experience in microservice architecture.
- Experience with relational databases and writing complex queries.
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases like Elasticsearch and DynamoDB.
- Experience with AWS services and tools.

- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to modern technologies and learn new tools.
