About the position

As a Payments Sales Manager in Non-Bank Financial Institutions Sales, you will play a pivotal role in developing new business from clients within a specific industry segment. This position requires a strategic thinker who is passionate about delivering solutions to clients and has a strong background in relationship management. Your primary responsibility will be to sell products that provide value to the firm, with specific goals that may vary by position. You will be expected to build a robust pipeline and execute a comprehensive selling strategy in collaboration with Product and Banking coverage officers. In this role, you will need to collaborate with various teams, including client service, operations, technology, risk, credit, and legal, to optimize delivery and ensure that client needs are met effectively. A thorough understanding of the market and the industry in which your clients operate is essential. You will need to grasp the client's organizational and operating structure, their buying process, and their business objectives to position JPMorgan and its solutions optimally. Your responsibilities will include developing new business from clients within the Asset Managers segment, understanding their business goals, environments, strategies, and industry trends to identify potential new business opportunities for J.P. Morgan Payments. You will manage client visitation and contact, promoting sales through frequent meetings and discussions about new products and market developments. Additionally, you will enhance your knowledge of clients and share this information with the client coverage team to aid in new business development and management of client risk. Working closely with the coverage team, you will guide efforts to expand existing business with current clients, providing feedback to product managers and generating cross-sell opportunities by maintaining strong working relationships with other JP Morgan lines of business. You will engage with JPMorgan Payments Solutions, bankers, and clients at senior and strategic levels to provide integrated treasury solutions within a consultative and client-focused framework, creating strategic dialogues around key client-centric issues.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new business from clients within the Asset Managers segment.
  • Understand clients' business goals, environments, strategies, and industry trends to identify potential new business opportunities for J.P. Morgan Payments.
  • Manage client visitation and contact; promote sales through frequent client meetings and discussions covering new products, market, and industry developments.
  • Develop and enhance in-depth client knowledge and share it with the client coverage team for both new business development and management of client risk.
  • Work closely with the coverage team to expand existing business with current clients, providing feedback to product managers and generating cross-sell opportunities.
  • Engage JPMorgan Payments Solutions, bankers, and clients at senior and strategic levels to provide integrated treasury solutions.
  • Create strategic dialogues around key client-centric issues, incorporating best practices, benchmarking, opportunity quantification, and solution positioning.

Requirements

  • Strong experience selling cash management products with at least 7 years in the industry.
  • Clear command of competitors' products, strategies, and value propositions.
  • Proficiency in identifying and capitalizing on supplemental sales opportunities.
  • Demonstrated ability to position and close new business.
  • Ability to assist in the design, sale, and delivery of value-added services.
  • Competence in assessing new opportunities and prospecting, contacting key decision makers.
  • Comprehension of customer's industries, business needs, and potential solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
  • Strong account planning and demonstrated execution.
