About The Position
O'Shea Lumber Company in Glen Rock, PA, is currently seeking a dedicated and reliable full-time driver for our straight truck (non-CDL-A). This position is essential for the transportation of hardwood lumber throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. The ideal candidate will be responsible for loading and delivering products, ensuring that all deliveries are made in a timely and efficient manner. The workday typically begins early in the morning, with the expectation of returning by mid-afternoon. However, candidates should be prepared for occasional overnight runs as needed. In this role, the driver will be required to lift heavy loads, with the ability to lift up to 80 lbs. This physical demand is crucial as the driver will assist with loading and unloading trucks as required by our customers. Additionally, the driver will be responsible for tarping loads when necessary, maintaining an accurate Electronic Driving Log, and collecting payments from customers as indicated on the bill of lading. Strong customer service skills and a keen attention to detail are essential for success in this position, as the driver will be the face of our company during deliveries.
