About the position
The NON-CDL Delivery Driver/Warehouse position at Pilkington North America involves delivering glass products to customers in Vermont during early morning hours. The role requires maintaining good customer relations, managing warehouse tasks, and ensuring accurate inventory for deliveries. Responsibilities
- Delivers glass to customers promptly.
- Develops and maintains good customer relations on delivery at all times.
- Develops and maintains a positive local work environment.
- Receives glass shipments and unpacks incoming trucks at the warehouse.
- Works closely with the lead person to achieve a high level of complete customer service.
- Locates required parts in the warehouse and removes them from stock.
- Visually inspects glass and loads parts accurately on the truck for delivery from the warehouse.
- Stocks the warehouse, putting parts in their assigned racks.
- Checks inventory to maintain its accuracy for delivery.
- Receives orders from the warehouse office.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) - Preferred but NOT required.
- Valid driver's license and good driving record.
- Ability to read maps.
- Ability to lift 35-45 pounds frequently and up to 70 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to operate a forklift, order picker, and basic hand tools.
- Good attendance is required.
- Proficiency in English language (verbal and written).
- Good customer relations skills - Client interaction required.
- Ability to work in temperatures similar to the outdoors within the area of the assigned Service Center.
