About the position

The Non-Emergency Medical Driver is responsible for safely transporting passengers to and from designated locations, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction throughout the journey. This role requires adherence to traffic laws and regulations while maintaining a clean and presentable vehicle. The driver will also assist passengers with boarding and exiting the vehicle as needed, providing excellent customer service at all times.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a variety of vehicles, including vans, paratransit vehicles, school buses, limousines, and shuttles.
• Transport passengers to and from designated locations in a timely and efficient manner.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
• Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the vehicle as needed.
• Maintain a clean and presentable vehicle at all times.
• Provide excellent customer service to passengers, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction throughout the journey.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Previous experience as a driver is preferred but not required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with passengers and co-workers.
• Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and assisting passengers with mobility needs.
• Familiarity with local roads and routes is a plus.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
