About The Position
The Non-Product Materials Manager at Pratt & Whitney will play a crucial role in leading a multi-skilled team focused on the distribution of materials, particularly emphasizing inventory control. This position is essential for ensuring that inventory accuracy is maintained for non-product and consumable cribs. The manager will also be responsible for coordinating shipping logistics for materials delivered from suppliers and vendors, which is vital for maintaining operational efficiency. The role involves managing vendor assist purchase orders and performance, overseeing minimum and maximum inventory levels, tool setups, blanket order reviews, and evaluating costs associated with non-product and consumable cribs. In addition to these responsibilities, the Non-Product Materials Manager will maintain requirements for demand planning in SAP for PWA300 material and crib tooling. The manager will be expected to execute business decisions fairly and equitably, conduct performance reviews, hold regular toolbox talk meetings, and ensure clear communication of organizational goals and objectives. Developing an annual inventory plan based on forecasted sales and Pratt & Whitney's inventory initiatives will also be a key responsibility, along with exploring new supply options as necessary. This position requires a proactive approach to leadership, with a focus on fostering a collaborative and inclusive team environment. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in high-stress and ambiguous situations, ensuring that the team remains focused and effective in achieving its objectives.
