About the position

The Nonprofit Area Manager (District Executive) for the Coastal Georgia Council of the Boy Scouts of America is responsible for overseeing youth programs in Chatham and North Bryan counties. This role involves recruiting, training, and inspiring volunteers, achieving program development goals, and securing financial support for community-based initiatives. The position requires strong leadership and communication skills to effectively engage with community leaders and the public.

Responsibilities

• Identify, recruit, train, guide, and inspire volunteers for youth programs.
• Achieve specific goals related to program development, volunteer recruitment, and fundraising.
• Extend programs to various community organizations through volunteer efforts.
• Secure financial support for programs in the assigned area.
• Recruit leadership for finance campaign efforts to meet organizational financial needs.
• Ensure all program sites are served through volunteers and regular leader meetings.
• Collaborate with adult volunteers and oversee their training achievements.
• Communicate program goals and objectives effectively to the public.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid driver's license and dependable transportation required.
• Ability to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Willingness to travel for training at least once a year for one to two weeks.
• Ability to meet the Boy Scouts of America's leadership and membership standards.
