About the position

Sodexo Live! is seeking an experienced Non-Profit Coordinator to join our team at the Birmingham Jefferson Convention Complex, which includes the Protective Football Stadium and the Legacy Arena in Birmingham, AL. This role is pivotal in managing partnerships with local 501c3 Non-Profit Organizations (NPOs) to enhance our staffing capabilities during events. The Non-Profit Coordinator will be responsible for attracting and collaborating with these organizations to provide volunteers for Quick Serve food and beverage stations during various events, including UAB football games and major concerts. The Non-Profit Coordinator will actively engage with the local community, employing innovative strategies to recruit new NPO partners. This includes building a roster of active organizations before each season and fostering sustainable relationships with group leaders to ensure ongoing collaboration. The role requires a proactive approach to administration and compliance regarding non-profit group contracts, scheduling, training, and payment processes. The Coordinator will also support the HR function by performing additional duties as assigned by the HR Manager, maintaining confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive company and employee information. In this position, the Non-Profit Coordinator will contribute to Sodexo Live!'s mission of being the leading provider of event hospitality and the employer of choice. Responsibilities

  • Oversee the recruitment, induction, and administration of Non-Profit Organization partners.
  • Facilitate paperwork and associated processes for proper documentation of Non-Profit Organization partnerships.
  • Support, leverage, and expand the effectiveness and capabilities of unit-level workforce through focus on positive employee experiences.
  • Participate in special projects related to the development and implementation of district, regional, and organizational HR business strategies.
  • Contribute to the goal of making Sodexo Live! #1 in Event Hospitality and the #1 Employer of Choice.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of previous work experience in an HR role, with knowledge of human resources administration and recruitment principles.
  • Previous work experience in a fast-paced food and beverage service environment.
  • PHR certification or willingness to work toward certification.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats.
  • Technologically savvy, with high proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS programs.
