About the position

The NonStop Presales Solution Architect at Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) is a remote role focused on selling HPE NonStop products, services, and solutions. This position involves engaging with customers to understand their technical needs, providing technical consulting, and supporting the sales process through presentations and demonstrations. The architect will collaborate with account teams to develop value propositions and strategies to expand HPE's footprint in customer accounts, ensuring a smooth transition from sales to implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Define, develop, and support the NonStop sales process for technology and solutions with account teams.
  • Engage in account transactions based on technical expertise required in specific deals/programs.
  • Participate in deep-dive discussions to assess customer technical needs and current IT infrastructure.
  • Define technical alternatives and possible shortcomings to proposed solutions.
  • Collaborate with account teams to develop and communicate key value propositions.
  • Deliver compelling presentations linking technical features of HPE NonStop solutions with business benefits.
  • Protect and expand HPE's footprint with customers by leveraging new technologies and upgrades.
  • Update pipeline information to reflect responsibility areas and nurture deals.
  • Represent HPE as a technical expert and advance opportunities through consultative selling techniques.
  • Facilitate smooth transition from sales to implementation by orienting teams to the technical solution design.

Requirements

  • Technical Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of HPE NonStop experience.
  • Typically, 2+ years' experience in technical consultative selling of products, solutions, or services.
  • Familiarity with HPE NonStop product offerings and strategic initiatives.
  • Understanding of competition and positioning strategy.
  • Excellent consultative selling techniques, including active listening and storytelling.
  • Strong verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.
  • Solid project management skills with analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong business and financial acumen.

Nice-to-haves

  • HPE NonStop knowledge-based and experienced-based industry certifications preferred.
  • Experience with social media and blogging for information sharing.
