About the position

The Ingram School of Engineering at Texas State University is seeking to develop a pool of candidates for temporary, nontenured faculty positions to teach in the Electrical Engineering Program. These positions will be appointed based on student demand for one to four courses per semester, with eligibility for reappointment contingent upon satisfactory performance evaluations and school needs. The successful candidates will primarily teach at the San Marcos campus during the Spring, Summer, and Fall semesters of 2025.

Responsibilities

  • Teach one to four courses per semester in the Electrical Engineering Program based on student demand.
  • Participate in annual performance evaluations to maintain eligibility for reappointment.
  • Engage with students and provide quality instruction in Electrical Engineering.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related engineering field.
  • Strong academic background in Micro/Nano, Networking and communication systems, and computer engineering.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • A Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a closely related engineering field.
  • Previous experience teaching undergraduate engineering courses as the instructor of record.
  • Expertise with AI and ML technologies.
  • Industrial experience.
