About the position

The Nordic Spa Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the spa facilities, ensuring a clean and safe environment for guests. This role involves operating pools, saunas, and steam rooms, while also performing maintenance tasks to prevent issues and enhance guest experiences. The technician plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality service and maintaining the spa's standards of excellence.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain the facility throughout the shift.
• Operate pools, saunas, steam rooms, and outdoor areas for safe guest use.
• Maintain a safe and clean pool deck by organizing furniture, towels, and debris.
• Complete washing schedules and daily checklists.
• Take and test water samples to monitor pool water chemistry and make necessary adjustments.
• Check pool filtration systems at prescribed times.
• Address minor maintenance issues promptly and report major issues immediately.
• Clean and maintain outdoor walkways, pathways, and green spaces.
• Complete assigned tasks in a timely and quality manner without requiring follow-up.
• Support a collaborative workplace and contribute to a welcoming environment.

Requirements

• Previous Spa or Hotel maintenance experience preferred.
• Current Certified Pool Operators (CPO) license.
• WHMIS and First Aid (Including CPR) certification.
• Ability to lift, move, and handle pool chemicals responsibly.
• Good judgment around safety and guest experience.
• Comfortable with technology and open to new learning.
