About the position

The Associate Operations Merchandising Manager for North America at New Balance is a pivotal role focused on enhancing the operational efficiency of the merchandising function. This position is responsible for overseeing the go-to-market (GTM) process, ensuring that timelines and deliverables are met while driving continuous process improvements. The role requires collaboration across various teams to maintain effective communication and alignment on merchandising strategies and operations.

Responsibilities

  • Own the GTM process & calendar oversight for the Merchandising North America Region.
  • Coordinate the execution of the GTM calendar, meetings, and associated milestones.
  • Uncover areas within the business to drive process improvements to unlock productivity.
  • Maintain a logical and efficient system for critical shared folders on the Merchandising SharePoint site.
  • Support continual process improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects and facilitate centralized feedback on milestone and process improvements.
  • Partner with the GTM Execution team to ensure cross-functional calendar alignment.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and output of sales and marketing in partnership with Global Merchandising.
  • Manage weekly updates and communications regarding new line plans from PLM.
  • Centralize communications to all partners on behalf of the merchandising team.
  • Own updates in the FlexPLM process/tool for both footwear and apparel.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in merchandising, operations, or a similar role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Proven track record of leading and managing teams to achieve operational goals.
  • Proficiency in merchandising software and tools: Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook, and Spotfire.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
