About the position

The NA Business Development Leader at Chemours will spearhead business development initiatives within the Commercial Refrigeration market segment in North America. This role involves collaborating with various teams to drive growth strategies, address customer needs, and leverage data for informed decision-making. The ideal candidate will possess strong business acumen and a customer-focused mindset, aiming to enhance relationships and identify opportunities within the refrigeration industry.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and drive business development initiatives in Commercial Refrigeration.
  • Define and execute the stationary aftermarket strategy for North America, including key messaging and product promotion.
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, technical service, and product management teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Collect and share market insights and voice-of-customer feedback with the broader team.
  • Address customer needs and challenges with innovative solutions and build relationships with end-users.
  • Identify and participate in tradeshows and customer/partner engagements.
  • Interpret and analyze data to establish market size and business opportunities.
  • Maintain market model data and competitive landscape, working with sales on bottom-up planning.
  • Identify gaps in the product portfolio to meet the unmet needs of the industry.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical), or Materials Science.
  • Minimum of 10 years serving in a commercial role.
  • Experience working in food retail, convenience, or the cold storage industry.
  • Experience in leading business development activities or related initiatives.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers or partners (internal/external).
  • Experience in interpreting and analyzing data to guide strategy.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Willingness to travel at minimum 25% of the time.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to engage with many stakeholders, including senior management.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the commercial refrigeration industry with existing relationships.
  • Technical understanding of refrigeration technology as it relates to air conditioning and commercial refrigeration.
  • MBA.
