About the position

The North America Distribution Sales Manager for Livestock at IDEXX Distributions, Inc. is responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with Distribution Sales Partners to promote and increase the usage of LPD ruminant products in the veterinary and producer beef/dairy segments. This role involves training clients and distributor sales teams, managing product launches, documenting sales details, and achieving sales budgets while presenting IDEXX values professionally to customers.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain Distribution Sales Partner relationships and contracts.
  • Promote and educate on LPD ruminant products in the veterinary and producer beef/dairy segments.
  • Conduct initial training for clients and distributor sales on products, including troubleshooting and customer service.
  • Manage the channel product launch of new products to ensure consistency with contracts and implementation.
  • Document sales administration details and maintain account profiles via Salesforce.com.
  • Attend trade shows and other educational commitments.
  • Achieve and maintain technical knowledge of products and services.
  • Present IDEXX values to customers professionally, understanding their businesses and processes.
  • Achieve sales budgets on each IDEXX product line.
  • Develop partnerships with clients and KOLs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in animal science or strong background in beef/dairy industries required.
  • 8-10 years of Field Sales experience required.
  • Integrity and commitment to employees, customers, and the company.
  • Strong sales and communication skills, including presenting to groups of veterinarians and producers.
  • Ability to adapt to both independent and team-oriented environments.
  • General business knowledge and solid organization skills.
  • Multi-tasking, creativity, technical aptitude, and proven track record in sales.
  • Computer database management skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Large animal advanced studies a plus.
  • Knowledge of veterinary diagnostics preferred.
