About the position

The Sr Project Engineer is responsible for coordinating and overseeing capital maintenance and engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. This role involves technical studies, product design, and providing functional support to minimize production issues. The engineer will apply their expertise to enhance equipment design and quality improvement while managing cross-functional teams on large projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and exercise functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of projects.
• Complete specific phases of projects including technical studies, product design, and preparation of specifications.
• Control expenditures within project budget limitations.
• Prepare interim and completion project reports.
• Provide functional and technical support to factories to minimize production and maintenance problems.
• Apply engineering expertise to equipment design and quality improvement.
• Support PRC and key support projects as a technical advisor or project manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an accredited engineering school or related field.
• 5+ years of full cycle project management experience.
• Strong background in mechanical and hydraulic systems, packaging methods, materials, electronics, and electrical systems.
• Ability to work flexible schedules including days, afternoons, midnights, and overtime as needed.
• Demonstrated ability to direct, lead, and manage cross-functional teams on large capital projects/programs of $20MM or more.
