About the position

The Director of North Central Behavioral Health and Crisis Services at Catholic Charities is responsible for overseeing the operation of behavioral health and crisis programs in Wenatchee and surrounding areas. This role involves providing leadership, ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements, and fostering a collaborative environment that promotes staff development and effective service delivery. The Director will work closely with various stakeholders to enhance program quality and community relationships, while also managing budgets and strategic goals aligned with the agency's mission.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direction and supervision to the Outpatient Services Lead Manager and Crisis Lead Manager.
  • Works with Behavioral Health and Crisis Lead Managers to ensure program operations meet contractual and funder requirements.
  • Provides management and/or clinical supervisory back-up for any program, if needed.
  • Develops program training plans that support staff performance and strengthen service delivery.
  • Facilitates staff training, in-service, and promotes team building.
  • Establishes effective communication with Behavioral Health and Crisis staff, providing feedback that supports program operation.
  • Assists in the hiring of program staff and coordinates with Human Resources.
  • Conducts annual performance evaluations for Lead Managers and oversees the evaluation process for Program Managers and team Leads.
  • Operates existing Behavioral Health and Crisis programs in line with the mission and vision of Catholic Charities.
  • Represents Catholic Charities in various professional organizations.
  • Establishes and maintains working relationships with community agencies.
  • Coordinates with the North Central Director on community meetings and attends relevant meetings.
  • Oversees quality assurance and implementation processes for the Behavioral Health program.
  • Participates in developing and managing the Wenatchee Behavioral Health program budgets.
  • Ensures programs and staff meet all regulatory and statutory requirements.
  • Works with the Compliance Officer to ensure compliance with contract and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversees completion and submission of reports to funders within specified timeframes.
  • Participates in corporate management team activities and serves as a member of the Great Leadership Team.
  • Creates strategic goals and outcomes based on the agency's strategic plan.
  • Serves as a conduit between the Greater Leadership Team and Behavioral Health and Crisis Team.
  • Develops and schedules regular staff meetings to keep staff informed.

Requirements

  • Masters' degree in Social Work or Behavioral Sciences.
  • 10 years' experience in delivery of clinical services.
  • 5 years' experience in management of Behavioral Health programs.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in the provision of Crisis Services.
  • Demonstrated successful program coordination, clinical supervision, program development, and management of Behavioral Health programs.
  • Ability to provide program and clinical supervision.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of team management/supervision.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and as a team member.
  • Ability to represent the agency professionally within the community.
  • Knowledge of substance abuse and addictions is desired.
  • Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Social Worker, or Marriage and Family Therapist in Washington State.
  • Valid Washington State Driver's license and minimum required liability insurance.
