About the position

The Room Attendant at Travelodge/Penny's Diner is responsible for ensuring that guest rooms, hallways, and public areas are clean and well-maintained. This role involves daily servicing of guest rooms, restocking supplies, and adhering to safety and company standards. The position requires strong attention to detail and effective communication skills to interact with guests and team members.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean and attractive guest rooms, hallways, and public areas.
• Service guest rooms daily in accordance with hotel procedures.
• Stock cart with room supplies and replace bed linens.
• Replenish guest room supplies while following company standards.
• Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the proper uniform and name tag.
• Comply with Avantic Lodging Enterprises standards and regulations for safe hotel operations.
• Thoroughly clean and restock the required number of guest rooms per shift.
• Complete all pre-cleaning duties, including setting up the housekeeping cart with supplies.
• Remove all trash and dirty linen from guest rooms.
• Keep all hallways, public areas, and closets clean and vacuumed.
• Prepare the housekeeping cleaning cart for the next day's use.
• Report all missing items from rooms to the Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager.
• Report any maintenance repairs immediately to the Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager.
• Handle items for 'Lost and Found' according to standards.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members verbally and in writing.
• Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
• Ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
• Effective listening skills to understand and clarify concerns raised by coworkers and guests.
