About the position
The Van Driver at Travelodge/Penny's Diner is responsible for transporting guests to designated locations while ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of the vehicle. This role requires strong navigation skills and the ability to manage multiple pick-ups and drop-offs efficiently. The Van Driver must provide courteous and attentive service to guests during their stay, adhering to the hotel's operational standards.
Responsibilities
- Drive guests to designated locations according to scheduled runs and as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of the van interior and exterior.
- Greet guests in a pleasant manner and assist with their needs.
- Open and close van doors for arriving and departing guests.
- Maintain a current listing of local attractions and events.
- Ensure compliance with hotel standards and regulations for safe operations.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming.
- Answer console to assist guest services agents.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid driver's license for the applicable state.
- Minimum of one year driving experience.
- Acceptable Motor Vehicle Driving Record (MVR).
- Ability to convey information and ideas clearly.
- Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
- Maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
