The NoSQL DBA will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining NoSQL database clusters in Linux operating systems that are utilized by various applications within the Bank of America. This role requires advanced knowledge of Unix systems and shell scripting, as well as experience with NoSQL databases such as Cassandra, MemSQL, CockroachDB, and Redis. The DBA will be tasked with creating and implementing fully functional NoSQL database clusters, ensuring that multiple development, QA, and production environments are maintained effectively. Strong experience in operations and production support is essential, as the DBA will also provide production support for system administration and DevOps tasks. The position involves writing shell scripts for automation and utilizing tools like Bladelogic to create, maintain, and execute jobs. Additionally, the DBA will identify inefficiencies in current databases and implement improved solutions, assist in planning and implementing capacity and resource expansion, and support database upgrades and migrations.
