About the position

Assisting Hands is seeking compassionate and reliable caregivers to provide personal care and assistance to elderly and disabled adults in their homes. The role involves supporting clients with daily living activities and ensuring their comfort and safety while promoting independence.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, and toileting.
• Assist with transferring and ambulation.
• Perform light housekeeping duties.
• Grocery shopping and meal preparation.
• Offer companionship and supervision.
• Assist with transportation and scheduling for doctor appointments and errands.
• Remind clients about medications.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Have reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• CPR and First Aid Certification.
• Alzheimer's / Dementia Certification.
• HIV / Aids Certification.
• Proof of a negative Tuberculosis (TB) screening.
