About the position

Quad is seeking Second Shift Folder/Gluer Operators at our Franklin, WI plant location. The Operator will perform set-up and operate machines to automatically fold, glue, and affix inserts and/or outserts, security tags, and adhesive labels on preprinted stock, ensuring production meets customer job orders. This role is essential in maintaining production efficiency and quality while adhering to safety and operational standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform make-ready functions for the folding and gluing machines.
• Activate the production process and monitor machine performance during runs.
• Adjust machine settings to synchronize speed and maximize output.
• Conduct preventative maintenance as per schedule.
• Record production data including time spent on tasks and items produced.
• Operate and oversee multiple feeder/gluer operations simultaneously.
• Train new workers on machine operations and feeding functions as needed.
• Cross-train in various roles as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous Folder/Gluer experience required.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Proficient in reading, speaking, and understanding English for interpreting instructions and job orders.
• Strong communication skills to report problems and malfunctions to co-workers and management.
• Familiarity with production processes and quality control techniques.
• Ability to analyze production needs and troubleshoot operational errors.
• Must be reliable and punctual, adhering to company requirements.
• Physical ability to lift 10-15 pounds continuously and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
