About the position

As a Merchandiser with American Greetings, you will play a crucial role in helping people celebrate special moments by managing and displaying a variety of celebration products in retail locations. This position requires independent work, strong organizational skills, and effective time management to maintain inventory levels and ensure a positive shopping experience for customers.

Responsibilities

• Service stores on your assigned route, including merchandising and organizing product orders.
• Display products within greeting card departments and other retail locations.
• Maintain organized backroom areas and perform other inventory tasks as needed.
• Communicate with management regarding service or schedule questions or concerns.
• Work in a fast-paced retail environment utilizing effective time management and organizational skills.
• Build relationships with retail store associates and management during daytime hours.
• Be available for additional working days and extended hours around major holidays.
• Assist with store resets, including minor fixture work and product assembly as requested.
• Review and plan your weekly service schedule and workload using a company-issued tablet.
• Work independently and as part of a team.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Access to reliable transportation for multiple retail locations.
• Access to reliable internet for job information and updates.
• Technological competency to learn and use a company-provided tablet.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in retail or customer service is a plus, but not required.

Benefits

• Starting pay of $16.20 per hour with increases after 6 months and 1 year.
