About the position

We are currently seeking Packer/Handlers to join our team in Muscatine, Iowa. As a leading manufacturer and global supplier of innovative nonwoven, flexible, and rigid products, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality goods to our clients. The Packer/Handler position is crucial in ensuring that all containers and lids are manufactured and packaged according to client quality standards and guidelines. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining safety and efficiency in the workplace. In this position, you will be responsible for visually inspecting products to ensure they meet quality standards. You will also complete the assembly of products by installing gaskets in lids and handles in containers as required, all while keeping pace with the production machine cycles. Stacking and packing products according to specific instructions from various customers and orders is a key part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will prepare proper product identification and packaging labels, assist with material handling, and perform miscellaneous duties as assigned. The Packer/Handler role is a fast-paced position that requires agility and consistent attention to detail. You will need to tolerate constant repetition and may be required to sit or stand for long periods. Lifting, bending, and reaching are necessary job functions, and you must be able to lift up to 25 pounds safely. A flexible schedule is essential, as the position may require working weekends, holidays, and overtime. Dependability and good attendance are mandatory, and you must report to work on time each day. Good communication skills are necessary to follow directions and relay important information, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team is crucial.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
  • Inspect product to ensure quality.
  • Complete assembly of product by installing gaskets in lids and handles in containers as required while keeping up with the production machines cycles.
  • Stack and pack product per instructions that vary with different customers and orders.
  • Prepare proper product identification and/or packaging label.
  • Assist with material handling and other tasks as needed.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.

  • Good communication skills - able to follow directions and pass on important information.
  • Ability to work alone and in a group setting.
