About the position

The Warehouse Inventory Technician at Sorensen Moving & Storage is responsible for managing inventory processes within a busy warehouse environment. This role requires a strong understanding of inventory systems and the ability to utilize technology effectively. The technician will handle receiving, inspecting, and inventorying products, as well as managing the loading and unloading of items. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in inventory management and be tech-savvy, particularly with warehouse management systems (WMS).

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect products upon arrival.
• Inventory products using warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Generate receiving reports and update inventory records.
• Pull and release products for shipping.
• Manage the loading and unloading of furniture and products on and off the loading dock.
• Arrange large items into storage units.
• Determine appropriate materials for wrapping products for storage or delivery.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of prior experience as an inventory technician, warehouse foreman, or similar role.
• Deep understanding of chain of custody processes and procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Prior experience with inventory software products.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with SAP and WMS systems.
• 1 year of inventory control experience.
