About the position
The Psychiatry Nurse Practitioner (NP) position involves providing mental health care in Wisconsin, working Monday through Friday during the day with no weekend shifts. This role is essential in delivering psychiatric services to patients, ensuring their mental well-being and addressing various psychological issues.
Responsibilities
- Provide psychiatric evaluations and treatment plans for patients.
- Monitor and manage patient medication regimens.
- Conduct therapy sessions and provide counseling to patients.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions and treatment options.
Requirements
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in Wisconsin.
- Experience in psychiatric nursing or mental health care.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Nice-to-haves
- Previous experience in a travel nursing role.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
