About the position
Advanced Medical/Elite is seeking a Board Certified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to work as a 1099 Independent Contractor, focusing on assisting local veterans with Compensation and Pension Examinations and Active Duty Claims for their VA Benefits. This part-time role offers flexible scheduling, allowing practitioners to work as little as 4-8 days a month, with cash-based pay and no insurance collections.
Responsibilities
- Perform Compensation and Pension Examinations on Veterans
- Complete a thorough review of medical records on a cloud-based EHR
- Conduct physical assessments based on specific disability claims
- Submit information gathered through an online portal for the VA to review as part of a compensation/pension claim
- Conduct exams at approved facilities with proper equipment and internet access provided
- If applicable, conduct exams within your own practice with a flexible schedule.
Requirements
- Active Medical license in state of employment
- No current litigation on medical license
- Board Certified
- One year experience and/or some prior VA work is ideal
- Must provide your own device (BYOD)
