About the position

The NPD Production Planner at PacSci EMC is responsible for proactively managing customer demand and improving inventory levels. This role involves leading problem-solving initiatives, managing multiple projects, and ensuring effective communication across departments to drive continuous improvement in production planning and inventory management.

Responsibilities

  • Manage customer demand while improving inventory levels.
  • Lead cross-functional capacity discussions based on SIOP details.
  • Create complex work orders and optimize material flow.
  • Maintain build-plan accuracy and shipment forecasts.
  • Identify risks to customer requirements and communicate effectively.
  • Manage multiple projects including scheduling of new jobs and closing out completed jobs.
  • Own and manage new product sourcing plans with input from various departments.
  • Champion inventory replenishment systems and identify reduction opportunities.
  • Perform material transactions and resolve transactional issues.
  • Lead daily management and track required KPIs.
  • Facilitate problem-solving related to supply chain metrics.
  • Utilize Fortive Business Systems tools for continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate development program build schedules with various teams.
  • Drive communication among cross-functional team members and support staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain/Logistics, Engineering, or 4-7 years of direct planning experience in lieu of degree.
  • Strong written, verbal, and listening communication skills.
  • Ability to stay organized with multiple responsibilities and deadlines.
  • Good decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • APICS certification in CPIM is preferred.
  • Excel experience is preferred.
  • Report writer experience preferred.
  • Lean/Six Sigma experience preferred.
