About the position

The NPI Hardware Engineer at Keysight is responsible for collaborating with various teams to develop Signal Analyzer products. This role involves applying electrical engineering knowledge to hands-on projects, managing instrument hardware, and supporting the introduction of new products into manufacturing. The engineer will work in a fast-paced environment, focusing on digital, analog, and RF circuitry, and will be involved in system integration, calibration, and documentation processes.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, marketing, and engineering teams to develop Signal Analyzer products.
  • Validate performance of new designs and solve design and development problems.
  • Manage instrument hardware and measurement processes during NPI development and production.
  • Design and implement calibration algorithms for products.
  • Create tools for controlling measurement hardware and test equipment using programming skills.
  • Design manufacturing processes and develop product tests to determine instrument performance.
  • Modify or create test stations to support production test needs.
  • Analyze test data and make specification recommendations during the specification setting process.
  • Work with teams in Malaysia to transfer instrument production when needed.
  • Create documentation for production tests and test stations.

Requirements

  • BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 6 years of professional experience in relevant fields.
  • Proficiency in analog (including RF and Microwave) and digital circuits.
  • Demonstrated analytical problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Experience in manufacturing and/or product development roles.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • 5-10 years of practical engineering experience.
  • Proficiency in software programming and code development (e.g., .Net, C, C++, C#).
  • Desire to collaborate with cross-functional teams worldwide.
  • Good organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to create and execute project plans.
