About the position

As an NPI Sourcing manager you will be leading technical sourcing and supplier relationship management for our newest, groundbreaking products. With a technical understanding, you'll help deliver the program - looking after the sourcing of technical components, subsystems, and systems from our supply chain making the relevant connections with numerous multi-functional teams to deliver for projects across KLA. As we look to deliver new technology to help our customers, we have embedded a strategic sourcing approach within KLA. As a part of this, you'll be impacting the achievement of business objectives including technology and product improvements, and problem resolutions. Working with technical teams, you'll influence suppliers and are confident in negotiations ensuring quality and timely delivery. Taking ownership - supporting, leading and handling the early involvement of key suppliers. Leading NPI project cost target, identifying and mitigating cost risks during development and after product release to volume manufacturing. Work closely with category managers to align sourcing activities and objectives to the commodity specific category strategies, and drive business leverage and early supplier engagement in new product development.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance to PLC phase exit requirements and project: Quality, Delivery, Technology, Cost targets, and supplier manufacturing readiness.
  • Influencing the early stages of our product lifecycle, prepare and agree sourcing package - NDAs, DA (Development Agreement), RFQs, SOWs, PAs, etc, and ensure supplier development in place during development phase.

Requirements

  • Doctorate (Academic) Degree and related work experience of 3 years; Master's Level Degree and related work experience of 6 years; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 8 years
  • Implement sourcing strategies that map to and support overall business strategies.
  • Validated experience with engineering or product development, as well as experience in manufacturing operations, supply chain required.
  • Experience in NPI and project management is a must.

Nice-to-haves

  • BS Degree in a technical engineering field or equivalent experience
  • Shown experience in semiconductor or capital equipment industry.
